SECURITY LICENSING
Licensing
for Static and Patrol security officers came into effect
in England and Wales on March 20th 2006. After this
date it became illegal to work as a contract security
officer without holding an SIA license. In addition,
the requirement for Door Supervisors to be licensed
in England and Wales came into effect in January of
2005.
Licensing
for security officers and door supervisors in Scotland
comes into effect in November 2007.
McKenzie Security Ltd provides high quality
SIA approved training for contract security officers
and door supervisors. Training is delivered by City
and Guilds qualified and SITO approved trainers. The
company is a registered NOCN (National Open College
Network) centre for delivery of the following training.
Level
Two award in Door Supervision
Part
1 Training and assessment on the Roles and
responsibilities of door supervisors (15 hours over
2 days)
Part
2 - Scenario based training and assessment on Conflict
Management and Communication Skills (15 hours over 2
days)
Level
Two Award for Static and Patrol Officers
Part 1 - Training and assessment on the Roles
and Responsibilities of security officers (22.5 hours
over 3 days)
Part 2 - Scenario based training and assessment
on Conflict Management and Communication skills (7.7
hours 1 day)
Candidates
who successfully complete either of the above training
courses and pass the required examinations will be qualified
to apply for their SIA license.
McKenzie Security Ltd has training venues in Lincolnshire, Oxfordshire
and London. In addition training can be delivered nationally
and in suitable in-house venues if required.
Course Dates and Fees
There is a rolling program of courses held in the above
venues. Course fees are £195.00 per delegate inclusive
of examination/certification costs and work books. This
fee is reduced to the special rate of £175.00
if the course is booked in advance with a deposit payment
of £35.00.
